This class discusses the mitzvah of building a Mikdash for Hashem. In addition, it deals with the question of what determines which commandments are listed in the count of the 613 Mitzvos.

This class discusses the view that the world operates as pure cause and effect, which drives individuals to compete for what is perceived as the limited opportunities. The class contrasts this view with the Torah view that Hashem provides us with all of the opportunities that we need. The class concludes with the discussion of Torah's view of neis and teva.

This class focuses on Rashi’s opinion regarding whether Yisro came to greet Moshe before or after Matan Torah. We compare his approach to the Ibn Ezra and Ramban.
